Katrina Macdonald Roe is a radio announcer, media producer and writer. Until recently she was heard on Hope 103.2 in Sydney every weekday morning from 9 – 12, but she recently finished up to have Baby Number 2! Her first children’s picture book, Marty’s (Nut-free) Party is due out in September 2012 with Wombat Books! Last year, several of her prayers were published in an anthology called, All Creation Sings, Psalms of Everyday Christians. And in 2007, Katrina’s unpublished novel On the Beaten Track was shortlisted for the New Holland Publishers and NSW Writers’ Centre Genre Fiction Award. In 2009, she completed her Masters in International Relations, just for fun and published a paper with the West Papua Project at the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies at Sydney Uni! Katrina is a member of the NSW Writers’ Centre, the Children’s Book Council of NSW and a Children’s Writers’ Group. She lives in Sydney with her 2 wonderful daughters, and her lovely husband, Chris. She has recently started work on a second novel, The Baby Whisperer.
